Saffas – South Africans

Doos – A not nice way of calling someone not nice.

Cane and creamy – Drink of choice in Stellenbosch. Aka cane and cream-soda.

Pom – Englishman

Yank – American

Pan face – Asian

SoKo – South Korea.

Poju – Soju and Powerade. Lethal.

Rhodents – Students from Rhodes university

Boeri – South African sausage, a popular choice for a braai.

Braai - South African BBQ. But better. 

Mokeli – Korean rice wine.

Sea saw – A revolutionary technique of drinking Mokeli or beer. A large bowl is filled with drink of choice. A team (2 ppl) must consume the contents of the bowl without either participant’s lips leaving his respective side of the bowl. This is done by one party raising his side up (lips attached to bowl) while the other lowers his side, sometimes going to his knees. The effect looks like a sea saw, obviously.

Waygook – “Foreigner” in Korean.

Chingu – “Friend” in Korean.

ROK – Republik of Korea

Dorpie – Little town or in the Korean landscape, a suburb of Seoul.

FOMO – Fear of Missing Out. A condition most often developed during varsity days, which usually takes years to shake off. The fear that staying home will cause one to miss out on some fantastic event taking place in town. Also known as Homephobia (not homophobia), this fear of staying in while friends are out partying has also led, in some cases to alcoholism.
